The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Welcome to all the newer than me newbies, now simply step to the left and surrender all of your cookies to the taj... just do it, it is easier than making me tackle you for them

Just had a Dengar costume cleared . So as an avid SciFi nut i need another costume to do . Always wanted to do a Colonial Marine since i seen Scapey and crew at CMG 5 years ago , love the idea of Expanded Univers stuff as well.

I'm in Scotland in the Falkirk area , yes i know the guys and gals north of the border , awsome bunch to chat to .

Hello Brothers and Sisters of the Colonial Marine Corps,

My name is Brandon from Long Island, NY. I'm 26 y/o. I am a HUGE fan of the Colonial Marine Corps and the entire Aliens story. I look forward to talking to everyone and getting to know all of you. I was a United States Marine for 5 years. Deployed to Afghanistan. I was an infantry fire team leader in 3rd Battalion 4th Marines. Now I am a college student. I will have my first costume done in about a week or two. Its only the dropship pilot costume. The armor will come later. Hit me up. My xbox live GT is StrlingArcher69.

Welcome, brother. I just joined here about a week ago after going to my first horror convention.

I actually just got outta the USMC this past May and I'm a full time student at Illinois. Starting the 4th week tomorrow and it's an adjustment to say the least. I had a year done before I enlisted in 2008, but that 4 year gap is making it difficult.

I was a pogue, myself. 0481, the guys with the red patches on the cover/trousers. Deployed to Afghan back in 2010 for about 7 months, and a year and a half ago I spent 2.5 months on the Kearsarge when Libya went ballistic. It was a pretty awful 4 years honestly, I absolutely hated it.

As far as my costume I'm working on Gorman's "field uniform" or "command uniform" or whatever you want to call it.

Ragu! Welcome! Good to see another idiot who chooses to live in Minnesota! :)

Ragu is another member of the Colonial Fleet family and a great guy. He should fit in here with the rest of the asylum just fine. :)

A big welcome to all the other new members as well!

Hello everyone. Long time lurker, finally joined and my real name is Janette. I've been doing costumes and props for the last decade, so compared to most, I'm totally on the newer side of things. This site has been a big help in the past and I look forward to contributing where I can. Tend to like bulky/hard to wear costumes or armor (and yes, anything with guns!). Have been working on a couple Prometheus costumes that I just managed to get to a wearable stage a couple weeks ago at D*C but one of these days i'd love to have a set of CM amor.

Hello

Bout time I introduced myself here. I have loved sci fi and adventure all my life. Big fan of all the alien films (yes all!) Star Wars Raiders Close Encounters Jaws etc.

Started prop building in the late 90's with sinktube lightsabers. Made several and didnt know it at the time but I was honing my skills. Have allways loved working with my hands and building models.
I got back to the propbuilding in 2008 when I began building a Sterling E-11 blaster took two years to finish but I learned a lot about prop making and myself as well.
Ever since I saw Aliens its been burned into my brain. I can remember playing paintball running around the woods yelling "Game over man game over! Stumbled onto this fantastic site while looking for reference material to build a pulse rifle and Ive been hooked ever since. Hoping to at some point to make it to a drop or a Con where I can meet some of the very talented people that visit this wonderful site. Thanks! Oh and by the way Taj can have all the cookies she wants!
Joe

I second the "being a fan of ALL" the Alien movies. I wouldn't mind doing an Alien 3 costume and shaving my head sometime.
