The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi Everyone,

I'm based near Hastings in the UK.

I've been a mega fan of Aliens since first watching it (many, many, many years ago), I've had all sorts of bits along the way:

Master replicas motion tracker (unfortunately, had to sell it while at uni or starve, apparently uni students kidneys aren't worth much on the black market, go figure :D).
Half a G&P PR kit which I bought just before the VCRA hit, meaning I couldn't buy the M1A1 to build it (and no one would sell me just the bits I needed).

Seeing Aliens Colonial Marines trailers got me thinking about, quick check and behold the Chinese are making a PR. First plan is to make a grenade to replace the shotgun shell (luckily I have a lathe and mill and lots of ally bar lying around). Hopefully leading to a smart gun (I've already located most of the hard bits!)

Thanks Charles

hi all,
been an avid fan of aliens since it scared the hell out of me when i was but a lad. loved all things alien related since. got a shed load of comic books, novels, dvds, and since i've started playing airsoft, i now own an airsoft pulse rifle and my own home made colonial marine helmet ( took me 2 weeks to build, but i loved every moment of it).
joined the aliens legacy forum to glean some info about certain kit items and to help anyone i could.

hope to be here for quite a while :-D

Hi everyone

Me my bro have been a long standing fans of Aliens (perticularly my bro whos amassed all sort of books, comics, graphic novels and Giger art books), and I recently got into replica prop/costume making as a hobby and wanted to do something as a birthday gift for said bro, so I've gathered parts to make a PR, and made a working FX display with samples taken from the film(alien screeches and all, but more on that later). It won't be screen acurate as it'll actually be based on Nerf gun parts, but will still function as such when finished. I also have a metal M1 replica to make the helmet with (going to give it a custom paint job with my bro's sense of humour in mind), and a few patches.

I would like to eventually make a full costume for both of us, some more props and join up
With the UK garrison.

Looking forward to sharing and learning, catch you soon ;)

Hi everyone,
Scottish fanboy here. Was pointed towards this forum by Scapey, who said you're the experts on all things Pulse Rifle.

Always liked the Colonial Marines, especially the background stuff that the Tech Manual adds.

Hey all.

Long time Aliens nut, video game designer, new-owner of a pulse rifle airsift gun (matrix/cybergun version).

Somebody at comic con told me you folks were trying to get a reprint of the frog-pattern camo. How's that going? Some friends and I would like to chip in.

Thanks!

Blackthorne: there are two versions of the USCM camo being made right now, one by a fellow named Spat (who also makes just about everything else you'll need), and one by a fellow named Aaron Horrocks. They are similar and yet different, so I'd have a look at both and see which meets your needs (to be clear: color and material are the differences, not quality!). There's probably quite a wait on them, but good to get in line, right?

www.spatcave.com/spatstore2.htm (scroll down halfway for BDUs)

hello everyone. im from Devon UK. Ive been into the aliens movie ever since its release when i was 7 (guess i didnt know what the red circle with the big 18 on the corner of the video case ment at that age lol) and have always took a big interest in the uscm weaponry and equipment especially the pulse rifle and have always wanted one. Now i am a proud owner of an airsoft snow wolf pulse rifle but unfortunately as i havent been to a airsoft game in over a year i had to buy the ultra unrealistic one with the bright blue shrouds (nothing a can of OD wont fix).
so now Ive been searching the web looking for ways to make it more accurate and modify parts I'm not to happy with, with which i stumbled across this amazing site full of like minded people and all the aliens related info i could ever want.

Gaz.

Howdy,
Name is Brian Burleson. Live in Dallas, Texas. I've been a member here for awhile, but more as a Lurker. I've meet a lot of you guys at various ACM events. I also work at Gearbox.

I'm a huge Aliens nerd. Always have been. Working on ACM has been amazing. I hope you guys enjoy the game!

LOL - the fact that you're here, in the midst of the geeks who're gonna pick it apart more than any other, shows how confident y'all are in the game!
I LIKE this fact :)

Welcome to the forums!
