The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey im Labarynth.

Im a manufacturing CAD student interested in modeling some Aliens prop parts for a school project. I may even make some of the parts from aluminum.
I originally had the idea to fully model an M314 Motion tracker but it seems almost impossible to find the parts. In order to draw them I need the dimensions etc.

found some interesting pages on the tracker as of today.

Hi everyone :D

My name is Jay i am down in the south of Dorset U.K and i have been a avid alien collector for many years now and have been buying and selling items related to the films throughout.
The website looks great and i cannot wait to get involved and get to know all of you!

A few years ago i did downsize my collection as i have another expensive vice (petrol head) but have been bitten by the xeno again and am back collecting.

my collection still includes:-
The complete kenner line
Marines of the Neca line
HCG Pulse rifle in olive drab
1.1 M240 Flamethrower (resin replica)
Lots of bits and pieces like a resin belt tool, Model kits, box sets and games, lots of magazines and blueprints, even have some Alien queen shampoo!

I have ordered a Spat steel pot helmet in movie camo with a VP70 pistol a couple of weeks ago so am looking forward to that :D

Also i have been looking at buying a set of Coloniel Marine Armour again and seeing some of your sets it has sold it to me! i NEED a set so if i could get some recommendations from the guys who own them ( pros and cons of different kits) that would be great.

Any way i will stop rabbiting on and hopefully speak and get to know you all soon.

Thanks for reading.
Jay

Hi there mates,
I'm currently in the middle of finishing up my USCM PFC, with Chefs armor, as well as a custom made Pulse and *nearly* accurate MT (damn I can't find that pump widget). I also want to do the Hudson electrical Lock Tool pouch, which is very, very hard to get some of the parts together. As soon as I can, I will show you my process in a seperate thread.

About myself: I'm 31 years old, hail from the german mainland and together with some other members here on the legacy, we want to form a small squad of movie accurate Marines ready to fry those xenos! Besides Aliens, I am also an active member of the 501st Star wars costuming group.

Thats it for now folks!

Cheers
Micha aka Loki

I don’t think I’ve ever posted in this thread. I’ve been on and off this forum for some time now, but lately I’ve become more active so I figured I would say hello.

My name is Erik, I live in Minnesota where I work for the State and have a nice consulting and training business on the side. I’ve been an Aliens fan ever since I saw the film in the theater in 1986. I have given it much thought, and I believe that it may be my favorite film of all time.

I don’t know if Aliens influenced me to join the Army or if I love the film because of my service, but I spent 12 years in the US Army and National Guard, and one of the reasons I really enjoy trooping is that it allows me to revisit all the things I loved about my military service.

Over the years I’ve cobbled together various USCM gear and uniforms, and just this year I realized my lifelong dream of trooping in full armor with my M41. Now that I’ve put all of this stuff together I plan on trying to get out to more ‘cons and show it off :)

I’ve got a set of Spat Armor, a Spulse Rifle, and two SnowWolf PRs. I’m starting to research an M56 build, and I’m putting together a set of “dress blues” for Manticon in May.

Hey guys

Daniel here
36 years old from the Detroit Michigan area
Apparently I've been registered for 2 years and never posted here!
Long time Aliens fan with my first pulse rifle on the way after numerous failed build attempts. Will definitely be starting a full USMC build. Hoping to have enough done to take a pic with Lance Henriksen at a con next month even if it's just in Olive drab t shirt with boots, BDU pants and my Pulse Rifle!

Hello, my name is William Ridder.
Nice to join such great company. :xeno: :delta:

I'm 37, and I've been a HUGE Alien franchise fan ever since my early adolescent years, as well as the Predator, Terminator, and much earlier on Star Wars/ Indiana Jones franchises.
Here's a story...

One day (sometime during the mid to late 80's, my older sister put on a sci fi thriller she had recorded off of TV, onto VHS. This film had my young mind intrigued, but it wasn't until sometime in 93 that a Jr, High classmate brought in another film that jogged my memory of the first one I saw years earlier. What stuck out was the featured monster :xeno: of course, but also the somewhat familiar effects of the mangled Bishop android compared to the Ash android. There was no internet access back in those days, so with much asking around, I began finding more and more out about the missing link I was DIRELY neglected of. It was also around this time that I began to see these strange Aliens action figures at Toys R Us and K.B. Toy stores. The way Bishop and the rest were portrayed REALLY had me intrigued, so with MUCH nagging, I FINALLY managed to get my dad to rent Aliens on VHS. After seeing it the first time, I was hooked. After spotting a couple isssues of Dark Horse Aliens comic book magazines at a tent at the LA County Fair that same year, I was excited to discover Dark Horse had MUCH to offer in the Aliens/ Predator comics as well. Sadly, a bulk of my collection was water damaged years ago during a move, but my obsession continues to this day.

Howdy, folks!

My name is Jouko Vaananen, a sci-fi fan from Helsinki, Finland!

I love Alien Legacy but I'm also a fan of Judge Dredd, Star Trek and Star Wars.
I've got a few StarTrek and StarWars (501st Legion member) costumes and I'm just about to get my Dredd3D Judge costume done.

I kept on seeing more and more USCM and UKCM member photos in my facebook feed and started studying the Aliens movie costumes. Of course I ran into Aliens Legacy site immediately. :)

I'm not sure if I'm going to build Hudson's or Drake's costume but I think I've narrowed the choice to those two.

Glad to be a part of a great community!!

Ah I should probably have introduced myself here.

I'm Jay, old enough to know better and live in Leicester. I was pointed in the direction of this forum a while ago by a friend who does s lot of work in latex but not really been able to do much - motorbikes and reenactment kind of robs my spare change.

So anyway between watching my friend produce some really nice work and meeting some of you at the NSC I decided to sign up.

Actually being able to finance a build two months before Alien is being shown at NSC isn't hurting either. ;)

Hey everyone. My name is Gary. I'm 40 years old. I live in Southern California about an hour north of San Diego. I love all things Sci Fi. A few of my favorites are Star Wars, Firefly, Star Trek, Aliens, Battlestar Gallactica (New and Original), Farscape....actually this list can go on a while.... I am sure you get the point.. I attend the San Diego Con every year. I am pretty new to the cosplay scene. I currently have A Jedi and Colonial Warrior (BSG original) outfit and I am working on getting Smart Gunner gear together in time for the Con this year. I will also be working on getting a set of Basic Marine Armor and pulse rifle together this year before the 2016 con. Well thats about all I can think of for now. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
