The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I wore my USCM gear to a recent tiny convention in my town. Here's a couple pics, Germany's Basemental Props and my buddy Pino were there as well!

Here's something I had to share with you.
My girlfriend is into costuming as well, but not (yet) really familiar with ALIENS stuff.

Here's how I can still tell she's a keeper:

Doesn't mean were engaged or anything - still, what more do you want in a woman?

And then this happened:

First time meeting Neil/Schotti and I have to say that was a pleasure. It was great catching up with Frank and Felix and meeting other non-ALIENS LEGACY Marines to do convention floor sweeps with. But alas, no xenomorphs but only pesky Predators. Here's us being very Tarantino in a quick badass video:

Here's a picture of the full group from our stand:

That was SO awesome.

Right back at you my friend Neill, it was great meeting you and I regret I did not opt for the 2-day experience. Gentlemen, ladies...we must do that again - a real shame I can't make it to Hannover.
We made a great squad, the whole group. I feel honoured to have been a part of that!

By the way, screw arcturian poontang. I came across a little planet called Jakku and the women there are my kinda tough:

Thank you my friend. We will sort out the welder, no hurries. I know it's safe with you. :) I'm glad no other losses or damage occured.

Oh btw, I may need to repaint my pulse rifle, I think. Carrying it slung always had the shroud rub against the armour during the convention. Now the left side is stripped of paint down to the alu resin in a couple of big spots. While I appreciate natural weathering, I feel this is a bit much.

A pic will follow, but I am experiencing trouble with my flickr photo upload for most of today.

Here's a picture of the paint chipping off to the bare shroud material.

What say you? Leave as is or strip and repaint (with a proper primer this time)? Your input is much appreciated.
