High top pair is trying to be sold on ebay for 850 USD.... and another in the UK for 750 GBP


As long as people won't pay that super high price, the scalping price will come down.


I was mildly interested in the $130 for the mids, but not at the scalping prices.

Everyone should keep bidding till it gets to a million!

just a heads up before anyone pays daft prices. I contacted reebok and got this response. maybe they are doing what Nike did with the Mags. limited release followed by general release at a later date.

Just had a chat with Reebok Canada's site.

Turns out they're not even available in Canada.

I asked how many pairs were made, the representative didn't know

Well, that was crap. Four sizes available on Reebok.com at 12pm ET...selected 10 no problem, verified the spam pictures, entered name and address, hit CheckOut...and there it hung. And would not go any further as I watched for the next 10 minutes the sizes disappear, and eventually it disappeared totally from my cart.

Exact same for me. Twice I was able to get to the point where I was clicking the "pay" button, but as soon as I hit it I was taken right back to the order screen. Each time it hung up and around we went until no sizes were available.


Not that I am bitter or anything....but I hope everyone who bought some simply to flip on ebay has something unpleasant occur to their testicles in the very near future.

They're asking for a grand now! Prices have gone up. Noticed a few added £100 plus to their prices...and people are bidding in excess of £800. This wasn't what it was meant to be.

The prices are really getting beyond a joke now.

Also, why did Canada get none, UK had mostly these but not the mid tops and Germany had the most sites with the most mid tops available?
Reebok messed up. They also should have organised a ban on selling them on EBay as they do with football tickets and other items.

Why would they do that?

What's the point of a limited run first?
If they'd planned to do a general unlimited release at a later date, nobody would want the limited run, as it'd be pointless.

Yeh sadly I can't see any more of the trainers coming out. They wanted it special so used the 1986 and 426 as the numbers made. That's it. I was tempted to buy one from EBay but the guy had put the price up by £200 as well as the postage. Probably saw the rest of the mad prices - some are passing the £1500 mark. Ten times the original prices and more.

Reebok really messed it up I think.

Pairs on ebay so far have sold for between $700 and $2,000 for the high tops, $150 to $600 for the mids.

I too fell victim of the Stomper fiasco...they were in my cart for a good 40 minutes (I knew they were gone almost instantly). The fact that Reebok only had 36 pairs for sale on their website to cover the entire USA says a lot about the IQ level of those in charge of business decision making at Reebok. I did score a pair of the mids, which I'm happy about, but I really wanted the hi-tops. Yeah, I could spend a ton on them, but that's irrational and I just have to hope that the response that was posted above is true...they really need to do a bigger re-release now that so many people are very angry.
