Gareth and myself ( And perhaps a Fraz? ) should be at Debenham's in Glasgow's Argyle Street with the Legion Of Superheroes: Scotland collecting cash for BBC Children In Need on Saturday November 11th.

I'm told there may well be a camera crew present as well

Well, that was tonnes of fun!

Thanks once again to Gareth Pug50 for driving above and beyond the call of duty.
( Need a locater watch for the car, though, eh? )

Apparently we raised around a grand - I was there from a little after 11, and the rest had been there since early morning so lots of can-shaking was done and as per usual, G's bug got an insane amount of attention.


We've made some enemies, though


Some greetin'-faced old gits from the British Legion were complaining that "We are the only people licenced to collect money in this street today."

Yup, great fun.

Thank you to Fraz and Scapey for looking after me all day. However, we didn't have any trouble whatsoever. I think we were a big hit and we managed to collect lots of money for Children in Need.

A few people were terrified of me and we had a lot of fun using a lift: I wasn't trying to scare anyone, but there is no way that an Alien can use an elevator in public without startling a few people!

I should point out that we had permission to collect money on that day. Most of the British Legion people were very friendly, it was just one arsehole that was complaining.

On Friday, the Alien will be going to BBC Glasgow with the Legion of Superheroes to hand in the takings, and to be in the audience for the Scottish section of the Children in Need live transmission.
