Other friends who've seen TN have all warned me against viewing, for fear that I'll go off on another of my famous "It's a rip-off of XYZ" rants... I'll probably give it a look anyway, but I am so far really unimpressed with the blatant, unmodded use of what is so clearly motocross armour (cheap version available from Hein Gericke down the road), when so many cool costumes are made by hobby costumers like us...

Those shoulder pads make everyone look very '80s gay'... and everyone's got that 'flawlessly pretty' look about them. We need more Drakes in Sci-Fi, dammitt!!!

Is that gun just a modified Glock Carbine? I honestly think that whole costume could be put together for pennies, the only real cost is the guns for the dropleg, and the carbine. The rest seems simple enough.

This is potentially a good thing, but I dunno.. enjoying a dinosaur program feels a bit like cheating on Jurassic park to me.

The gloves look almost exactly (if not exactly) like some Sap Gloves that are available at Tulsa Airsoft (their actual store, not online) The've got buckshot/sand in them to absorb impacts.

Im not keen- South Park kinda perfectly summed up how i feel about it!

Gloves, well one of them.

And yet, they mention nothing of the prop weapons that we see... like when he's describing the weapon and he's holding the modded Nerf Nite Finder. Heck, even the weapon the armorer guy is holding is based off the Nerf Recon... so they really just told us about how they trained the cast...

Man... at least the Nerf Recon and NiteFinder blasters they used were aesthetically modded. All they did was leave out the priming handle and paint the whole thing black. The most expensive show on Television is repainting Nerf blasters for props and using Biker impact armor as body armor. Wow.

Well had a go at making one of the pistols.
Didn't have a Recon for some of the parts so had to build them all out of Plasticard.
Didn't make too good a job on the smoothing/sanding as I would of liked.
Still waiting on a torch, similar to a Lenser, from China to finish it off too.
Debating whether to weather it a bit.
