Slack day at work so I figured I would do some work on the sentry gun. I've revised the front end and started the sanding back. Still a few bits to fit onto the body but I think the basic shapes there now.

Cheers, the Australian version was the cause of all this!! ☺ it's an amazing build so I copied the firing idea and binned the sweep as I haven't got the room for that option, and concentrated on getting it as close to the original without using another de-act as I can.

Always love to see people tackling this prop.

Thanks all. Fitted the case ejection ports and some of the electrical access plates as been home alone this weekend ☺

Wow, yeah this is really on another level here. Can't wait to see how you tackle the tripod! Everything looks amazing so far.

Here's where she stands, if I get any time during the week i'm going to tackle the last access hatch and the stencilled writing on that panel. Then into detailing the exposed barrel and fitting the hoses.

you have gone a little deeper in the profile than I did and done the bevel on the long middle top section which is more screen accurate.
Don't know if your planning on just making it static or doing some automation but if I can help put at all just drop me a PM.

Cheers, awesome job yourself it was your's that gave me the idea to knock one up in the first place. I borrowed your PIR sensor idea to fire the nerf gun, but as I haven't got the room to have it sweeping i'm going to try to get it as close as i can to the original prop instead to make up for the lack of automation.
Can't wait to see yours finished it's going to rock!

I didn't twig that yours was Nerfed also lol

A bit more done all the access plates are now in, the sight base is fitted and the muzzles coming on ☺

When I looked at the pictures wasn't happy with the front end, looked a little to thin so onto mark 3, see what this looks like fitted and painted

The new under barrel section is in and looks better and lines up more accurately to the rest of the gun so going with this one.The pipework has been fitted behind the forward panels so now onto the tarting up, spraying and stencilling on the main body.
Still not happy with the muzzle its being a pain to get right so going to revise it so its shorter and has added details

Now got a muzzle i'm happy with ☺
