The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So, what sort of readyline do we have for this? Guests appear to include Tom Skerritt, and also Jewel Staite, Jeri Ryan and Gillian Anderson (*rubs legs in a Vic Reeves styley*) ...

Limited places are available to stay in Abe's hovel - I'm not too far on the Tube from Olympia.

Please correct as needed:

Readyline
Glenn
Vito
DATA - SAT/SUN
Mole
BurntKona
mattb
skapunkninja
Naurarwen - SAT/SUN Holland Court Hotel
Hunter - SAT/SUN
Ttaskmaster
PlasticPrincess - SAT/SUN

(and keep the idle chat down in drop threads - Yes, I'm an arsehole, more than you know. You'll understand when you meet me ...)

Why is idle chat a problem, it's not hurting anyone is it and it's only brief chat here and there?
There is nothing wrong with being friendly now and again, plus I'm a newbie and I would like to get a clearer picture of the people I'm meeting!

Data said I was allowed over the board because I can't use the chat

You have no worries I won't abuse the system lol

Your one person I can't wait to meet !!!!

Chances are, as I only get to see the Pixie at the weekends, is that I'll just do the Saturday, so won't be needing accommodation. Although this may be clashing with a friend's birthday, so will have to check diary's with Sarah

Mole
BurntKona - SAT ONLY

The main issue with the drop threads is that the Readyline lists get lost in the noise, and then someone copy&pastes an earlier version of the list and people get left off. It took me 20 minutes to be sure that the list above is correct.

Additionally, I'm subscribed to all the drop threads incase of problems/questions that needs answering.

The presence of random chat in any thread makes discussion of it's intended subject less likely to occur, and harder to follow.

And, I believe there is a rule in the lengthy AL rulebook against off-topic posting and content-free posts.

As has been said, take a look at the "Puffin" iOS browser - it seems to run chat just fine.

It's only chat now and again I can't see the problem and I know a lot agree but are scared to say. It's not like that's all it is is it?It's only very random
I'm not wanting to chat in the chat,I prefer to get to know members briefly here and I don't want puffin on my iPad just to suit this forum

I'm not being funny and I have no problems following rules,it's just it's a few chats now and again,we are not children at school

Data said it was ok so I will continue to be friendly unless I'm banned of course lol

Hello Gareth I will like to take up your offer of your place to sleep. I can take my van to your place like before. As the price of hotels is so high.
I will be doing both days and getting into London early on Saturday so leaving my house around 4am so I do not have deal with the rush hour traffic.

Cheer's Steve

Note that LFCC is being held in the Grand Hall at Olympia this year. Previously, it's been in the smaller halls and there has been no changing space (literally, no space for a changing area!), but hopefully there should be some back area this time in the big hall.

We could possibly arrange to have a UKCM table at this. *IF* it happens, who would be able to bring props/spare costumes/weapons to put on display?

We can't just use a table to rest PRs on when we don't want to carry them or to collect trash ... ;)
