The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I swapped out the hat as the rank dissonance was getting to me (PFC stripe and LT bar...). I also was able to raise up the back section to meet the ceiling grate, and began filling in above with black posterboard. Blocking out the white ceiling does wonders for adding mood. It's just slipped it in there for now; I need to get some more and measure it all out before I attach it for real.

Digging the panels and floor grate. Putting some hive resin around the place would be a nice touch too but all in all it's a great prop display already!

Merciful Zeus! How did I not think of that?? It would certainly help mask some of the rough spots and problem areas.

It would limit my ability to use it for my project though as there aren't any resin-secreeting xeno's in it.

Wow, thanks Ed! It's got a ways to go and I want to get some properly lit shots, but I really appreciate the kind words.

I love it. I've done something similar in my 'armory'.

After almost a complete overhaul of my kit I thought it was time to document my display again. I built a new dummy, got a much better pallet so here it is. Between this iteration and the last I shot a film in this room and then my sister-in-law moved in for 6 months so now that she's out I'm glad to have the space back, but too bad about the paint on the walls!

Thanks guys!
I did two cons back to back and then trooped for Halloween with my kiddo, so having the armour back on the display stand feels good.

I really like your ditty bag. :) Gives me an idea to do a duffle bag; I've got enough spare patches to go around, and I figure it would be a great way to store my armor and items that don't fit into my weapons case. Eventually I'm going to get another mannequin to be able to display my kit (I have one for my SST uniform & armor) and it would add to a display nicely like with yours.

I saved these two silver storage boxes from going in the trash at my work. Perfect for storing more Aliens stuff! The bottom box is holding all my books and graphic novels, and the top has my spare BDU's and other costume bits.

I added stickers as an homage all three films: Willie's WY logo sticker (Aliens), a "don't shake" graphic from Spacejockey (Alien3), and Red Star Lines sticker off Zazzle (Alien). This was an unused design for a jacket patch from a previous employer for one of the Nostromo crew.

I may add another sticker two later, we'll see!

It sure is! Fritz was desperate to be in the shot too; he's kinda of a needy little cuss honestly.

That is really awesome. Even better that they are fulfilling a real purpose while looking great! I just have my 'spare' stuff in a trashy Rubbermaid bin...
